City of El Segundo issued the following announcement on Nov. 1
While the City is not aware of any specific public safety threats in the region, as a precaution, the El Segundo Police and El Segundo Fire Departments are prepared for the November 3, 2020 election, and have an operational plan in place to ensure the safety of our residents, businesses and visitors. There will be additional police officers on duty and the City’s All-Hazards Incident Management Team is activated and ready to respond to any incident that may occur.
A regional mutual aid plan has been established and a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement team will be on standby to assist with local and/or regional civil unrest or other issues, if needed.
