The Western New Mexico Mustangs, with junior James McCallum—a former St. Bernard High School standout—were defeated 83-71 by the St. Edward’s Hilltoppers on Saturday, March 14 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The matchup, which began at 7:30 p.m. at Kenneth E. Burg Center, marked the Mustangs’ first meeting with St. Edward’s in this year’s tournament.
