Washington Huskies secure 8-2 win over Ohio State in Saturday’s NCAA Division I softball matchup

The Washington Huskies, featuring former Hillcrest High School star Melody Acevedo, earned an 8-2 victory against the Ohio State Buckeyes in an NCAA Division I softball game at Buckeye Field on Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m.

This contest marked the second meeting between the teams this season. The Huskies were narrowly defeated by Ohio State 5-4 on Friday, May 1.

Acevedo tallied one hit in three plate appearances, scored one run, drove in one run, drew one walk, and stranded one baserunner.

The Huskies will face the Buckeyes again on Sunday, May 3, at Buckeye Field.
