City of El Segundo issued the following announcement on Dec. 17
While the latest L.A. County Health Officer Order of December 9, 2020 requires that only individuals from the same household may play golf together, including golf lessons, on December 18, 2020 the L.A. County Department of Public Health informed the City in writing that individuals from different households may play golf together, including golf lessons, as long as they adhere the Reopening Protocols for Golf Courses.
The L.A. County Health Officer Order encourages people to stay home as much as possible, and strongly discourages contact amongst different households, particularly during the current severe outbreak of COVID-19. The City asks that golfers from different households socially distance ten rather than six feet to enhance player safety. Please be advised that local hospitals are currently at or above capacity. If you choose to participate in activities with people outside of your immediate household, you are assuming the risk of potentially contracting the virus without the ability to receive timely medical care.
