The Stonehill Skyhawks, featuring former Redondo Union High School standout Amelia Styskal-Ward, were defeated 11-0 by the Providence Friars in their NCAA Division II softball game held Wednesday, March 11, at 2 p.m.

Glay Field served as the venue for the matchup, marking the teams’ second meeting this season. The previous game, also played on Wednesday, March 11, ended in a 10-1 loss for the Skyhawks.

Amelia Styskal-Ward pitched 1.2 innings and tallied one walk.

The Skyhawks are set to play next on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. against the Wagner Seahawks at Fr. William Gartland Field.
