Melody Acevedo, a former Hillcrest High School star, played for the Washington Huskies in their NCAA Division I softball matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m. The Huskies fell to the Buckeyes, 3-2.

The matchup was held at Buckeye Field and marked the third meeting between the teams this season. The season series remains even.

Acevedo tallied three hits in three at-bats and scored one run.
