The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers 137-130 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as reported on March 26. The Lakers led throughout the game, with Luka Doncic scoring a team-high 43 points.
The game drew attention not only for the action on the court but also for the presence of Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark among photographers on the baseline. Clark, known for her achievements in women’s basketball and comparisons to NBA player Stephen Curry, captured moments from courtside during the matchup.
Doncic said he did not see Clark during the game but spoke highly of her performance in women’s basketball. “Not really much (of a relationship), but I’m a big fan for sure,” Doncic said on Spectrum SportsNet. “I watch a lot of games. Definitely her hooping, it’s great to watch. I for sure have to go to a game to see her.”
In addition to Doncic’s performance, Austin Reaves contributed 25 points while LeBron James added 23 and Jaxson Hayes scored 21 points with a double-double as starting center in place of Deandre Ayton. The win marked Hayes’ first 20-10 game as a Laker and helped close out a successful road trip.
Clark has received recognition early in her professional career, earning All-Star honors and Rookie of the Year despite injuries limiting her playing time this season. Her interest in photography echoes other athletes who have taken up cameras at sporting events, such as Ken Griffey Jr., Simone Biles, and Suni Lee.
As Clark continues both her athletic career and explores photography from courtside, observers note that she could be preparing for future pursuits beyond basketball.
