The second round of fan voting for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game has been released, showing changes in the standings for several Los Angeles Lakers players. Luka Doncic remains the top vote-getter among all players, while LeBron James has moved up to eighth place. Austin Reaves has dropped to tenth, likely due to his calf injury.
According to NBA Communications: “Luka Dončić and Giannis Antetokounmpo remain the leaders in their conferences in the second fan returns in NBA All-Star Voting 2026. Fans (50% of the vote) join NBA players (25%) and a media panel (25%) in selecting five players in each conference honored as starters.”
Doncic’s continued lead is attributed to his strong performance this season, where he leads the league in scoring. LeBron James has also improved recently and taken on a larger role with Reaves sidelined by injury.
Reaves’ drop may be related to his absence from games, as Houston Rockets player Alperen Sengun has now surpassed him by over 150,000 votes. Despite this setback, Reaves could still be selected as an All-Star reserve by coaches based on his play earlier in the season.
The Western Conference’s top five remains unchanged: Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Victor Wembanyama follow Doncic. In the Eastern Conference, Jalen Brunson moved ahead of Tyrese Maxey for second place behind Giannis Antetokounmpo; Cade Cunningham and Donovan Mitchell complete that group.
Fan voting continues through January 14.
LeBron James recently commented on his growing chemistry with Doncic on court: “LeBron even comparing them to a quarterback and wide receiver in football.”
