Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to reach a unique statistical milestone during a recent 10-game stretch, according to an announcement on March 25. Despite the Los Angeles Lakers’ narrow three-point loss to the Detroit Pistons that ended their nine-game winning streak, Doncic delivered another standout performance with 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
Doncic’s achievement centers on his accumulation of over 390 points, more than 80 rebounds, at least 70 assists, and over 25 steals across ten consecutive games. This feat had never been accomplished before in league history. Over this period, he averaged nearly 40 points per game while maintaining strong shooting percentages both from the field and beyond the arc.
The run included several notable individual performances: Doncic scored at least 30 points in each contest—highlighted by two games with more than forty points, one fifty-point outing, and a sixty-point game against Miami. He also recorded two triple-doubles and multiple steals in eight out of ten games. These efforts earned him back-to-back Western Conference Player of the Week honors and positioned him as a likely candidate for Player of the Month.
Doncic’s impact has not gone unnoticed among basketball observers or former players. Magic Johnson recently described him as “the most unguardable player in the NBA today.” The Lakers have risen to third place in their conference standings during this period.
As attention grows around his play and potential Most Valuable Player candidacy, observers are watching closely to see if Doncic can maintain this level of performance through the remainder of the season.
