The Los Angeles Lakers finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 53-29 record, securing fourth place in the Western Conference, according to an April 14 announcement. The team was led by its “Big 3” of Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves, each delivering All-Star level performances throughout the season.

Their collective impact extended beyond the court as all three Lakers appeared on the top-10 list of most-viewed NBA players across league social media platforms. The list was shared by NBA Communications and highlighted that James, Doncic and Reaves consistently generated viral moments due to their skill and creativity.

Other notable names rounding out the top ten included Victor Wembanyama, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards and Cooper Flagg. The Lakers’ popularity ensured frequent primetime appearances for their stars during both high points and challenging stretches of the season.

As Los Angeles enters the playoffs as underdogs against the Houston Rockets, injuries remain a concern. Doncic is working toward an early return after seeking specialized treatment in Europe while Reaves is expected to miss at least one round due to a Grade 2 left oblique muscle injury. James will be counted on to lead efforts if Los Angeles hopes to advance further in postseason play.

Despite missing time late in the regular season due to injury, Doncic captured his first NBA scoring title by averaging 33.5 points over 64 games played.
