Paul is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in league history. Over his career, he was selected as a 12-time All-Star and named to the All-NBA team 11 times. He also won five assist titles, made nine All-Defensive teams, and earned Rookie of the Year honors for the 2005-2006 season. Although he did not win an NBA championship, Paul played key roles on competitive teams such as the Clippers and Houston Rockets.
James and Paul have faced each other many times throughout their careers but maintain a close friendship off the court. The Lakers and Clippers are scheduled to play four games against each other this season.
In related news, Luka Doncic spoke about playing alongside LeBron James on the Lakers roster. Doncic said that sharing the court with James is meaningful to him since he grew up admiring James’ game. Now teammates during what could be James’ final years in the NBA, Doncic hopes they can compete for a title together under their joint leadership.
