At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, Sacred Heart’s NCAA Division I softball team, featuring former Redondo Union High School standout Kayla Roe, was defeated 14-3 by the UMass-Lowell River Hawks.

River View Field served as the venue for the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Roe tallied a hit from two at-bats and struck out once.

Sacred Heart will play the River Hawks again at 4 p.m., with River View Field hosting the rematch.
