The Benedict Tigers, featuring former Torrance High School standout Anthony Ramos, earned a 13-7 NCAA Division II baseball win against the Kentucky State Thorobreds at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Western Hills Baseball Field served as the venue for this first contest of the season between the Tigers and the Thorobreds.
Ramos pitched three innings, giving up one earned run while issuing three walks and striking out two batters.
The Tigers will face Kentucky State again at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, once more at Western Hills Baseball Field.
